The sun is out and I am happy. Rather, the sun is not out right now because it’s past midnight but when it rises in the morning it will be warm and sunny for another day and my irrational optimism will shine some more. Right now I am only tired, I think. I went out tonight. I was only moderately awkward and managed to stay out a few hours rather than going home after half an hour and feeling a little lame about it. It was good, I hope this bodes well for the summer in China. The professor asked me why I wasn’t drinking and I told him I can’t really process it and he told me I’d have a problem in China. Yay!
The second semester is always better for the sunshine but sadly it always passes quicker. Tonight was gen wo de hanyu ke zai Biftek he pijiu. I met the faces I’ve in class with since September but haven’t yet spoken to. I got there too early (but not as pathetically early as I was for the last legstar reunion some months ago) but I wasn’t alone. Yesterday night there was chatting with 2 of the A-boys for a few hours (I’ve not done in some time) and it was nice. Wednesday I handed in my exams, had paperwork finished, bought undies and a couple summery-type tops. Last weekend was srafcon-MTL with sketchy internet people who were fortunately not so sketchy. It was fun but unfortunately smack in the middle of exams and shite MTL weather (Callum hadn’t seen so much snow in some time). Montreal is best in the summer (festivals, etc,); it’s too bad school is in the not-summer. Hopefully I’ll get to chill with roomies in the sun and the sun will inflict happiness upon them.
